Langtang Valley Trek is one of the famous trekking in the Langtang region. It lies in the northern part of Nepal. The lifestyle of People living in Langtang valley is Tibetan and they have a similar culture to Tibet.Here the mountain views are truly spectacular. On either side of the valley mountains rise, soaring up into the sky. The valley offers pine forest, slow moving rivers and swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primulas. In the upper part of valley there are snow bridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist, tiny lakes with icebergs floating in them and water of crystalline brightness.
There are also high mountains of solid ice. Gosainkunda, regarded as sacred land in Hinduism, is dotted with lakes atop the mountain, offering a quiet respite. There are few visitors outside of those who come for the summer festival. Langtang trek is an area highly influenced by Tibetan culture and home of Yak and Gosainkund is a great sacred lake at an elevation of 4200m.
It is great combination of high mountain surroundings and varied culture. The trek starts from Sybru Bensi and ends at Sundarijal. From Sybru Bensi, we will follow the Langtang River to the east until we get to Kyanching Gompa (3,049). 8 Days Trekking Itinerary:
Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Syabru Besi.
Driving: 7/8 hrs. Trail Attractions: Trisuli Bazaar, Parallel Forest Hills, and Dhunche Bazaar. Max. Altitude: 1,550 m (Syabru). Overnight: Teahouse/Lodge.
Day 02: Trek to Lama Hotel.
Walking: 5/6 hrs. Trail Attractions: Red Pandas, Monkey, Bears (rare case), Bhote Koshi River, Langtang Khola etc. Max. Altitude: 2,380 m (Lama Hotel). Overnight: Teahouse/Lodge.
Day 03: Trek to Langtang Valley.
Walking: 4/5 hrs. Trail Attractions: Langtang Lirung Mountain, Ghora Tabela (Horse Stable) etc. Max. Altitude: 3,430 m (Langtang Village). Overnight: Teahouse/Lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Kyanjing Gompa.
Walking: 4/5 hrs. Trail Attractions: Largest Mani Wall in Nepal, Mills operated with water flows, Langtang Lirung Mountain etc. Max. Altitude: 3,870 m (Kyanjing). Overnight: Teahouse/Lodge.
Day 05: Acclimatization Day.
Trail Attractions: visit Monastery, Cheese Factory, Hike to Kyangjin Ri to view Lantang Peaks etc. Max. Altitude: 4,200 m (Kyanjing Ri). Overnight: Teahouse/Lodge.
Day 06: Trek to Lama Hotel.
Walking: 6/7 hrs. Overnight: Teahouse/Lodge.
Day 07: Trek to Syabru Besi.
Walking: 4/5 hrs. Overnight: Teahouse/Lodge.
Day 8: Drive back to Kathmandu.
Driving: 7/8 hrs. Drop to your hotel. Ganja La Pass Trekking finished here!
