Manaslu circuit trek is one of the restricted trekking regions in Nepal. If you choose to trek in this restricted area then you have to get a special permit from the immigration office. Manaslu circuit trek includes famous Larke la Pass 5102 m. This is one of the wilderness trekking which lies in between two different districts of Nepal. The trekking in Manaslu Circuit starts driving to AArughat or Machikhola from Kathmandu. The duration of this trekking is 14 days. After Machikhola we will start hiking on the rough road which is under construction. We will pass different villages with different cultures, people, dress, terrace land. In this region, you can do another trek like the Upper Mustang Trek
Manaslu Circuit Trek leads you to the lap of Mt. Manaslu with a height of 80163m. There are many natural beauties on the way to Manaslu. When you reach Shyala there is Pungin gomba where you can do a day site trip and acclimatize for the next few days. In Shama, there is a Birendra lake and you can either go to Mt. Manaslu Base camp at the height of 4319m for the side trip. This village people follow Buddhism and there is no killing of animals. You can see yak grazing in the high Himalayas with the snow-capped mountains. After reaching to Shyala the trail is not that hard but you have to well acclimatize to go further high up. 15 Days Trekking Itinerary:
Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Sotikhola.
Driving: 7/8 hrs. Trail Attractions: Trisuli River, terrace fields etc. Max. Altitude: 710 m (Sotikhola). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 02: Trek to Machha Khola.
Walking: 6/7 hrs.Trail Attractions: Budhi Gandaki River, Waterfalls, Rocky Trail, Gurung Village, and Suspension Bridge.Max. Altitude: 900 m (Machha Khola).Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 03: Trek to Jagat.
Walking: 6/7 hrs. Trail Attractions: Hotspring and Stone Stairs trail. Max. Altitude: 1,410 m (Jagat). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 04: Trek to Deng.
Walking: 6/7 hrs. Trail Attractions: Bamboo Forest. Max. Altitude: 1,804 m (Deng). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 05: Trek to Namrung.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Walking: 6/7 hrs. Trail Attractions: Mani Walls, view of Siringi Himala, and Monasteries. Max. Altitude: 2,630 m (Namrung). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 06: Trek to Samagaon.
Walking: 6/7 hrs. Trail Attractions: views of Siring Himal, Ganesh Himal, Mt HimalChuli, Mt. Manaslu, and Ribung Gompa. Max. Altitude: 3,530 m (Samagaon). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 07: Visit Pungyen Gompa.
Walking: 6/7 hrs.Trail Attractions: Mani Stones, Sherpa's Traditions, and visit Pungyen Gompa.Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 08: Trek to Samdo.
Walking: 4/5 hrs. Trail Attractions: Mani Walls. Max. Altitude: 3,860 m (Samdo). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 09: Acclimatization day.
Trail Attractions: Trisuli River, terrace fields etc. Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 10: Trek to Dharmasala.
Walking: 4/5 hrs. Trail Attractions: Wooden Bridge and Larkya Glacier. Max. Altitude: 4,460 m (Dharmasala). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 11: Cross Larkya La Pass & Trek to Bhimtang.
Walking: 8/9 hrs. Trail Attractions: views of Cho Danda, Larkya Peak, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru, and Mt. Manaslu. Max. Altitude: 5,160 m (Larkya La Pass). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 12: Trek to Dharapani.
Walking: 6/7 hrs. Trail Attractions: views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal, and Rhododendron Forest. Max. Altitude: 1,860 m (Dharapani). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 13: Trek to Jagat.
Walking: 6/7 hrs. Trail Attractions: Dudh Khola, Marshyangdi Khola and waterfall. Max. Altitude: 1,300 m (Jagat). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 14: Trek to Bhulbhule.
Walking: 6/7 hrs. Trail Attractions: Pine Forest. Max. Altitude: 840 m (Bhulbhule). Overnight: Teahouse.
Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu.
Driving: 7/8 hrs. Drop to your hotel. Manaslu Circuit Trek finished here!
